Deedee didn’t sit down one day and decide to write a book. It just happened. Years of reading with her grandchildren, watching them laugh, hearing them ask for one more page, that’s what made her a children’s book author and the book The Zoo published. This is her very first children’s book. And she hopes your family loves it too.
Some of the best memories come from simple moments. Like sitting with a child and reading a good book together. Deedee loves reading with her grandchildren. Watching them smile at stories and get excited about animals gave her an idea. She decided to write her own book which led her to be one of the best children book authors.
That book is The Zoo. It follows a little girl named Cassi who gets a surprise trip to the zoo with Grandma and Grandpa. It is a sweet, simple story full of animals and happy moments. The kind of story children enjoy and remember.
